When you register as an NDGA member, you’ll support initiatives that benefit the game, such as:
- Giving opportunities to amateurs and junior golfers to play in championships and take part in community-based programs.
- Maintaining the integrity of the game by supporting the Rules of Golf, equipment standards, and handicapping standards.
- Preserving N.D. golf history and traditions through the N.D. Golf Hall of Fame.
- Helping provide North Dakota golf courses with USGA course rating services, promotion and advertisement, and state tournament listings.
Registering for a GHIN Handicap is often required by local events and competitions statewide. The initiatives above are supported through
GHIN fees but it is important to play fairly and to enter scores in the only approved handicap method in the world.
You can get your GHIN Handicap started at your local golf club in your city or town. If your local club is closed at any time – call Riverwood
GC in Bismarck and the staff will create a GHIN handicap profile for you over the phone.
Juniors are recommended to begin with a GHIN Handicap and entering scores as soon as they begin playing and finishing 9 – hole rounds.
18-under junior golfers can register at NO CHARGE and are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
GHIN is required to compete in the NDGA State Junior events as well as the DJGA Events and Applebee’s
Cup Championships. Join us today and play golf the fair way!
